Legal action to tackle

Legal action to tackle
addictive social media design
A group of parents are looking to bring a groundbreaking legal challenge in the English courts to make social media platforms change their addictive designs — and protect millions of teens.

If they succeed, this case could set a powerful precedent. It could force all major platforms to rethink how they design their apps, not just in the UK but across Europe.
Why This Matters

This isn’t about seeking money or compensation. It’s about real change.
It means social media platforms could be made to:

•Stop exploiting teenagers’ personal data.
•Make their platforms less addictive.
•Give young people back control over their time and attention.

This case is a chance to stand up for what’s right. To tell tech giants:

Our kids are not a product.
Who We’re Looking For:
Teen Claimants (14 - 16 Years Old)
For this legal challenge, we need a teenage claimant.

Could your family help?

We’re looking to speak with families of teenagers who:

•Spend or have spent a lot of time on social media platforms like TikTok or Instagram.

•Feel that social media has negatively impacted their studies, mental health, or overall well-being.

•Are motivated to help make a difference.

Being a claimant is a big decision — but it’s also a chance to change the system.

The process would take around 1-2 years, and the teenager’s identity would be kept completely confidential. There are no costs involved to you, and you’ll be provided with support throughout.

If your family is interested, email act.on.addictive.design@gmail.com for a no-pressure chat.
